Kalpana has been cooking since the age of ten as most traditional Indian households expect their daughters to. This experience of cooking alongside her mother from a young age and her experience from India and France, all her travels, knowledge about food and ingredients and specialised training has enabled her to offer unique dining opportunities to clients in France, Panama, India, China and now Hong Kong.
She continues to develop and create new recipes integrating the local flavours and ingredients acquired from her travels and life on different continents.
Her enthusiasm to share her passion for food and cooking with others saw the birth of "K's Kitchen." She firmly believes that "Food must appeal to your senses especially those of taste and sight". Her focus is on the quality of ingredients and food presentation. She is constantly creating news flavours and presenting them in a modern, eclectic style. Kalpana has a certified training in Thai culinary course. She contributes monthly to the "Recipe of the month" section in the French regional magazine "Trait d'Union".
